I wanted to HIGHLIGHT one of the most annoying projects to come along in recent memory; the IAC building.

This building is overrated for a few reasons:

First, what kind of bullshit parti….sails? Really?

Second,  the glazing is awful!!!! It looks like a layer cake! And there is actually a restaurant maybe 3 blocks East of the site that has the exact same glazing but just in a ground floor storefront application. (Anybody know what I am talking about?)

Third, I have been pummeled with this damn building since its conception a few years ago. Its in every single magazine, newspaper, and website. I can’t escape it. And really its only because it is a Gehry project.

Fourth, the building only “looks good” from one side! All three other sides are flat and run straight up to the property line. In this way, the building is only a stage prop.

Finally…Sails? Really?

The sad thing is that, the interior of the building is a better design than the exterior…
