While searching for interesting content for YoungArchitect.net, I come across many projects that stick out at me. These are works that I keep going back to for second looks and I thought that I may as well share them with you from time to time. Here are some of the houses that have caught my eye recently and I hope you find them to be cool too.

hill house

Hill House: Johnston Mark Lee

Even though this project is a few years old now, I love this image and wanted to include the project in this quick post. Taking its shape from the hillside site and the zoning ordinances gorvening the odd lot, this house is both sculptural and allows for views of the Santa Monica Canyon.

zero house

Zero House: Specht Harpman

Zero House is a unique project that incorporates self-sufficient principles, modular construction, and aesthetic massing. Extra detail is paid to both interior finishes as well as multiple energy effiecient stragies. These strategies include collection of rainwater, waste composting,

lighthouse

 The Lighthouse: Sheppard Robson

This project is the first net zero carbon house in England. It is fully constructed with sustainable materials and is programmed in order for its occupants to lead more ecologically responsible lifestyles.

These are just a few houses that caught my eye. Leave a comment below and hip me to any houses that you find of interest.

The Johnston Mark Lee Hill House looks like some of the houses we saw on various Hollywood movies, isn’t it? I think Kill Bill for example? anyways this is very nice.

I’m really not too sure. I guess I’ll have to go and watch Kill Bill to see.
