While working on our most recent deadline in the office, I came across one of those “Been There, Done That” moments.
One of the young interns just out of school plotted a whole set of PDF’s and forgot to change the old date to the current date on the title block. Just as he was about to go home for the night, he realized his mistake. Not only did he have to remake all of the PDFs, but he had to plot all the new drawings out for the meeting the next morning just because of this one stupid mistake. I thought to myself “Everyone has to learn the hard way.”
This got me thinking:
What are your “Been There, Done That” moments?
- What are the things that every young architect, or even every young professional does?
- What are the lessons that you had to learn the hard way?
- Or, what may be even more entertaining, what are the bonehead moves that you have made either in school or in your career that are almost too embarrassing to admit?
