Send Thank-You Notes

Post image for Send Thank-You Notes

The idea of the “Thank You” note sounds outdated and borders on inappropriate. However thanking people for helping you out throughout your career is one of the best career moves you can possibly make. If any of you readers have ever received a Thank You Note, you know that it can make someone’s day and it won’t be forgotten.

The only rule here is that it must be hand-written and mailed to the person. An e-mail will get lost in the shuffle (and the recipient can’t put it on their desk to remind them). Do this for the people that have helped you out recently and keep blank notes in your desk so that this can become a habit.

If you are stuck on where to find “thank you” notes, go to Etsy.com to see small dealers where you can personalize your own.

ACTION

Buy Thank-you notes or nice stationary. Send 5 Thank-you notes before the end of the day (By “send” I mean mail). (1 hour)
